Many people have being asking me how to promote affiliate products without a blog. I always tell them that it is kind of harder to promote offers without a website because no matter the method you use it won’t be passive for years compared with someone with a blog. Someone with a blog can promote related offers on his/her blog and at the same time build email list. The blog becomes the lead generator while the emails become the recurring customers. Nevertheless if you still want to delve into affiliate marketing without a blog, read on to discover one of the methods to make money with affiliate offers using android apps.
These days getting conversions on affiliate offers are becoming harder and harder. It is also very hard to get conversions by sending cold traffic to affiliate links. Now people mainly buy from websites with authority or from people they trust and to build this authority and trust takes time. Some years back I read about using android apps to promote affiliate offers and at that time I didn’t know anything about android development. With time I learnt the basics and reached intermediate level in android development so I was able to modify an android template and publish on my playstore account.
The app was an ebook app that was all about ways to make money with fiverr. I was promoting fiverr affiliate program which pays $5 per signup. I got the offer from an Affiliate Network called Linkshare and so I used basic knowledge of html to embed the affiliate link in the app. Here is the link to the app on playstore which I published on 2016 and it is still active till now. You can see it has already 1000+ downloads and I never promoted it for once. The daily traffic in google play store is massive and these traffic are still untapped. The app has being making me passive income (not too much due to the small commission) and to scale it up I have to create more ebook apps with affiliate links embedded in them. Google won’t delete your app if you follow my method and publish similar ebook apps with your own affiliate links.
To get started with promoting affiliate offers with android app I will suggest you have basic knowledge of android development and also a laptop with ADT (android development tool) or android studio installed in it. There are many ebook app templates you can find online or at Codecanyon which comes with instructional materials for it’s modification. If you are not into android development you might find it extremely difficult so I suggest you learn the basics first. You might want to add more chapters to your app to make it have more value so that you won’t get much negative feedback. You can get hundreds of PLR (private label rights and master resale rights) ebooks here for your app. Also the graphics matters a lot, spend more time on the graphics, it helps your app to get more downloads. This is not a get rich quick method as it takes time and patience just like most other online marketing techniques. Another factor to consider is the niche, do a proper niche research to ascertain the level of competition. I didn’t do any niche research, I just found a PLR article online about fiverr and used it for the app. There is no duplicate issue even if you use someone’s article (I suggest you use PLR articles never copy people’s work) since the app’s contents are not indexed in the search engine.
I will suggest you promote affiliate offers that pay from $50 above but you are free to innovate your own strategy. Some niche with high commissions are
- Hosting affiliates
- Subscription online services (e.g. aweber, convertkit)
- Themes and Plugins
- Health
Most of today’s online companies have their own in house affiliate program so you just join them directly. You will also have to pay a onetime fee of $25 for a google App publisher account. With this account you can publish unlimited apps and leverage the millions of traffic on Playstore.
